The Self-publishing process involves many dynamics. Each panel member expressed gratitude for this alternative to the traditional publishing options. In addition, each panel member shared their current authentic navigation of the publishing industry. No one has had distinctive and direct discrimination issues, however, we have gained strength through collection development and community partnerships.

embody or represent (something) in a faithful or appropriate way. think deeply or carefully about. January 20th is significant to me for several reasons. First, it is Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday Celebration! A Federal holiday has been delegated to honor Dr King jr. Dr. king had a moral pulse of humanitarianism that influenced millions across the globe and most significantly in America. Today, I also celebrate the first published book that I was inspired to write. I am thankful to all individuals , especially my immediate family, who have encouraged and assisted me on this journey. I pray that the light of any book I am led to write will rise and shine and give God Glory! "And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." I am in the process of this type of reflection and I am providing a few journal prompts that maybe helpful for you in your process of contemplation, prayer and Bible Study. What experiences were most significant to you in 2024? How might you have done things differently in 2024 given the opportunity? What are you most excited about for 2025? How will you seek to learn more about our Creator God? How might your life reflect your relationship with the Lord going forward? All of us have testimonies of joy, struggle, challenges and victories. Some of us recognize that, as a song highlights, it is: "God that is in the story and God that is in the details." It was a blessing to make the books available as an author vendor. In person interactions are a wonderful way to engage others and receive instant feed back from readers. I am often blessed by unexpected and sometimes deep felt and moving encounters. Saxophone player, Toni Smith, led us through various genres of music, in a fun-filled celebration. My acknowledgement to the leadership at Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church for their love filled community event.
