5/15/2023 0 Comments Reflection and Community - An invitation to write. (Volunteers for Springfield Park - 2nd Annual Luncheon.)I am thankful to God. I appreciated the request and opportunity to write a reflection about Springfield Park and the surrounding community for the Volunteers for Springfield Park Annual Luncheon Journal. (VFSP). Reflection Title: "Friends of Springfield Park.". On Saturday ( Mother's day eve) this auspicious occasion, a fundraiser and community service awards ceremony, took place. The Lord was thanked and honorees were acknowledged by the VFSP and official representatives from New York City and New York State. Springfield Park, Queens has been a welcome oasis throughout the challenges of the last three years and much more. It is important to support and rally for the maintenance of community parks. The Volunteers of Springfield Park, in partnership with the NYC Dept. of Parks & Recreation are fulfilling a worthy assignment for the Queens community. ~Annette O.
