All of us have testimonies of joy, struggle, challenges and victories. Some of us recognize that, as a song highlights, it is: "God that is in the story and God that is in the details." It was a blessing to make the books available as an author vendor. In person interactions are a wonderful way to engage others and receive instant feed back from readers. I am often blessed by unexpected and sometimes deep felt and moving encounters. Saxophone player, Toni Smith, led us through various genres of music, in a fun-filled celebration. My acknowledgement to the leadership at Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church for their love filled community event. The Volunteers for Springfield Park Inc. was birthed from a group of leaders who saw and acted on the need to restore Springfield Park. The organization is and continues to grow as more individuals, including distinguished politicians, see the need for the ongoing support, maintenance and use of this park for the Queens, NY community and beyond.
