Inconvenient - An excerpt.

Day 1

​“What on earth!”  I thought to myself.  “All of these twigs and leaves.  I guess they blew out of my small herb garden (not really logical) or across from the back garden during some strong winds.
I went back in to grab a broom, swept the twigs and leaves away and then proceeded to go to work….

Day 2

The next day I opened the back door to exit in haste for work and then I noticed…more twigs and grass like leaves.   I don’t get it.  I looked up and noticed… wow! a nest was being constructed right on top of the light.  The door had an awning and I guess this shelter and the occasional warmth from the bulbs made this appealing real estate to this bird.

I went to get a long broom and used the handle to push the mud, twigs, grass and leaves off the light fixture.  “I can’t have a bird’s nest here.  Oh no….it is right above the entrance.”  I reasoned, while imagining “things” falling on top of my head.  “ This is crazy" I thought, as I tapped the organized debris off it's foundation...
