11/5/2024 0 Comments Encounters and Reflections & Encounters and Reflections II. What are these books about?  A. O. Brown, author.Today, the average person interacts with their cell phones and other portable technologies more than in-person dialogue. Time is rarely set aside for rest and competing demands often cause stress. There are individuals who want to engage God. In the midst of challenging health and social crisis many are questioning the authenticity of their faith and others just want to understand the meaning of their existence. In these books the author’s divine experiences are shared as reflections. Inspired insights, from the Holy Spirit, promote spiritual perspectives and reasoning that relate to one’s everyday life. Exegesis or exploration of specific scripture are aligned to each reflection and provide a universal perspective. In addition, contextual photographs provide a visual layer of communication at the beginning of each reflection. Journal prompts, at the end of each reflection, are embedded to provide helpful guideposts for the reader to record their insights and deepen their spiritual engagement. The second book also includes computer links and interactive QR codes for access to a few videos. We have an entry about this interview at the Events page. Mr Polite provided very thoughtful interview questions. I was very grateful for this detailed and succinct interview. The questions provided me with a pathway to reflect about my inspiration to write. In addition, I was able share details about the faith and belief that continues to drive and stimulate my creative work. January, 2022 God’s blessings are prayed for you! Happy New Gregorian Calendar Year ! Most of the western world, as we know it, utilizes the Gregorian calendar that is based on the motion of the earth around the Sun. “The Gregorian calendar is the calendar used in most of the world.[1][a] It was introduced in October 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII as a modification of, and replacement for, the Julian calendar. The principal change was to space leap years differently so as to make the average calendar year 365.2425 days long, more closely approximating the 365.2422-day 'tropical' or 'solar' year that is determined by the Earth's revolution around the Sun.” (Wikipedia). Christians, should also be very aware of the Hebrew Calendar and Festivals. This Calendar is based on the lunar cycles. It is quite interesting to study the significance of biblical festivals and the prophecy and predictions made by the Lord’s prophets and even Jesus the Christ about the times we are living in today. Our Creator has a good plan for creation and I am excited about God’s kingdom coming and His will being done on earth as it is in Heaven. This month is the third anniversary of the book “Encounters and Reflections - Can you hear me now?” A calendar has been created to mirror and highlight reflections inspired for use in the book. Specific messages, photographs and Scripture have been selected to facilitate our life-long relationship with God. I hope you enjoy this product for yourself or as a gift to someone else. I am thankful for the creative ideas the Lord has provided for us to share the message of the Gospel. Write the Vision Written by inspiration. Annette Olivia Brown. 1/16/22. “And the Lord answered me “Write the vision, make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end - it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2 v2-v3. (ESV). “And the Lord answered me.” A major shift and event occurred. The Lord responded to the prophet Habakkuk’s second prayer and instructed him to record the vision given to him. He was instructed to make a concrete representation of the abstract ideas and thoughts. The vision was not to remain just in Habakukk’s mind, the vision was to be made tangible to those who read the vision. Interaction and understanding was inherent to this answer. “Let them, let the reader, run in response to the vision! Another version unfolds the understanding of this message as: “Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it.” (HCSB). Dr Martin Luther King wrote and shared visions the Lord gave to him throughout his legacy Thousands have “run” in response to their interaction with his visions. Dr. King described one of the visions given to him as a dream. The dream, that he boldly declared or rather announced into reality, was before it’s time, yet soon after the vision became a manifested reality. Children were born the year the vision was announced, and like the vision, they took form developed and moved forward unapologetically into their purpose. Dr. King and hundreds of other political activists and freedom fighters paved the way with their lives, their actions. Freedom rung out from Dr. King’s speech that day. Like a persistent bell, on August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream reverberated within the nation of America and far beyond the walls of this country into the world. “When we let freedom ring when we let it ring from every tenement and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jew and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, “Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” Dr. Martin Luther King. If a vision is given from God himself, can anything hinder it? Dreams and visions given by God to us today need to be written, declared, announced so that the reader can “run” and prosper in response to the message. As people of faith we are to announce the present and the future into being. Any type of faith, whether in something positive and true or negative and false, can be manifested. Let’s usher in awesome, God led and kingdom building manifestations that will benefit all humanity. God’s plan is the best plan and I want to align with it. “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” Joel 2 v28 (NIV). Let us allow ourselves to write down the dreams and visions given to us by our Creator, God. The Lord’s word, which is faithful and true, will accomplish what He has planned for it to do. 12/2/2021 0 Comments News letter - November 2021AOB CREATIONS PUBLISHING - NEWSLETTER aobcreations.com November, 2021 Welcome! Brown “Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him.” Deuteronomy30v19 The urgent request, in the above scripture, was made through Moses to the people of Israel. The Israelites, at the end of their journey through the wilderness, were almost at the point of crossing over into the land promised to them. Their heart and mindset, however, was being called into accountability. It was evident, from the message shared with them, that each person had a decision to make with a consequence attached to it. In the midst of Genesis Chapter 2 an account is given of man and woman’s placement in a garden in Eden. Adam and Eve were placed in a garden with every resource they needed, however, they were instructed not to touch one specific tree. The consequence of choosing to defy the Lord’s rule was made clear. Adam and Eve defied the Lord’s command, yet, a way was made for them, and all humanity, to live beyond the pronounced "death" sentence. Adam and Eve’s decision, however, caused detrimental consequences. “You are free to eat from any tree of the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Genesis 2 v 17. Why is it so important for humanity to have choice? At Mount Carmel, when Elijah was led by God to facilitate a stando with all of the Baal priests, Elijah presented the following question to the people: “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If Yahweh is God, follow him. But if Baal, follow him.” But the people didn’t answer him a word. I Kings 18 v 21 Choice is one of the fundamental components of individuality. Each person has been created with distinct characteristics and behaviors. Each person’s fingerprints, for example, are unique to them and humans have the capability to acquire unique ideas and perspectives. The essential meaning of Choice is defined as: 1: the act of choosing : the act of picking or deciding between two or more possibilities. 2: the opportunity or power to choose between two or more possibilities : the opportunity or power to make a decision 3: a range of things that can be chosen. Merriam Webster Dictionary Choice is a part of any healthy relationship. Flexibility and adaptation to different perspectives are part of relating. Communication is also a key component of our humanity that promotes community and collaboration. A definition of communication is: “ the act or process of using words, sounds, signs, or behaviors to express or exchange information or to express your ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc., to someone else.” Merriam Webster Dictionary Our Creator has provided life and liberty to choose. We have the choice to believe in God or not to believe in God. As the gospel goes out for all to hear, every person has the inherent choice, within their hearts and minds, to decide if they believe. “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3 v 16. (NIV) In addition, it is written in John Chapter 14: Jesus said “ I am the way, the truth and the life.” John 14 v6 (NIV) With the power invested in us, I implore you to choose life! today. Believe in the truth and let truth set you free. "But the message is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may follow it." Deuteronomy 30 v 14 READ MORE ON OUR WEBSITE Did you know? Author’s day is celebrated on November 1st! September, 2021 aobcreations.com “But he answered and said, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4 v 4 Let’s be positive! con·no·ta·tion /ˌkänəˈtāSH(ə)n/ noun 1.
Definition from Oxford Languages in Google.com. I would like to take back current connotations of the word “positive.” We are all on a journey in this lifetime. Everyone’s situation and circumstances are unique. Currently, many of us are sharing similar challenges in and around the world in response to health crises, climate change, political upheaval, unexpected bereavement and much more. Yet, the Gospel of Christ declares Good News! “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.” John 15:18 (NIV). In the midst of every situation, the word of God declares we can overcome, we can press on, we can find a “rest” that supersedes all understanding. We have a hope that is birthed out of the knowledge that we have everlasting life and we can choose to have it in Christ. “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8 v 37-39 (NIV) Right now we have life and I pray that we live it abundantly in Christ. We have a hope that stimulates a positive outlook on our life journey. Let’s be positive in every life circumstance, however, not in our own strength, but through the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit and the promises of God that are here to give us hope. Encounters and Reflections Can you hear me now? Annette Olivia Brown, Author Reflection Years ago, during a “women’s retreat”, I wrote about an image I drew on a black board and in included the image was drawn “out of pure improvisation and in connection to my daily journals”. When I found this old note a few weeks ago I realized this was the “seed of an idea” the Lord used to motivate my inspiration to author my first book. I had an awesome journey in reflection at that point, however, the Lord took it a step further and allowed me to chronicle a sequence of authentic. meaningful events and reflect about them through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. What an awesome experience it has been and continues to be in ongoing encounters and inspired reflections. Currently, I am in the process of authoring a second inspired book. AOB CREATIONS PUBLISHING NEWSLETTER aobcreations.com August 1, 2021 Encounters and Reflections Can you hear me now? Annette Olivia Brown, Author Extravagance (Excerpt) I drank in the peace and quiet that the park offered. Motivated once again to walk to one of my favorite locations. I cautiously peered around at the natural oasis and at the same time stayed conscientious of my immediate surroundings. No one else was in the park, no one else that I could see anyway. I turned, pointedly, to my right and gazed at a tree that loomed boldly out of the ground. Birds were chirping away and two really playful squirrels dashed up and down the limbs of this auspicious tree. The tree screamed history and a special sense of timeless experience. “Encounters and Reflections - Can you hear me now?” was written in obedience to a call. A call to record reflections of encounters we are all often privy to experience. The most important relationship we have is with our Creator. This book is a reminder that the gift of God inspired, prayerful meditation allows us to experience God, everyone and all things around us through the lens of the Holy Spirit.
