I finally found a spot for parking…phew! I had spent precious time circling around through traffic lights, meandering along busy streets.
“Is it ok if I park here? I asked a homeowner. He thought for a while and said “I am about put some machinery here…I don’t recommend that you park here…” I drove, in a full circle, back to my original and usual place for seeking a parking spot. A parking space was patiently waiting for me. I parked and moved hastily to a local deli to quench my hunger pangs. The bell rang obediently as I entered the sanctuary of the deli. There were three of us. As the current customer left the balance of their bill on the counter, I placed my order for a sandwich with the shop owner. While waiting, I decided to check for phone messages. The stand for the phone abruptly fell to the ground. I picked up the stand and began to fumble my first attempts to attach it back to the phone. “Do you know what that part is used for?“ A friendly voice asked emphatically. Another customer had entered the store. I had no idea, however, when this customer entered. “Do you know what that is? It is used to watch movies.” he laughed and continued to share. I nodded, attached the part and placed the phone on the counter demonstrating the use of the stand. “Isn’t it great.” He shared “You can easily watch movies and videos.” “Yes, thank you. It is also fairly easy to attach” I replied “Where are you from?... What do you do? Oh a teacher” He inquired. “So what do you do?” I asked “I sell various items, many different ones, on the internet.” He stated. “Oh” I responded, “that sounds very interesting. I’m glad I asked. You never know who you may meet or what interesting information you may gain from a conversation.” “Well, what you give you get back…. Positive or negative energy.” He stated matter-of-factly. I smiled and then I shared a resource I had about a Christian-based book. He took the card and said “O.K. but most of the time I only read comics.” He laughed. “How much is that sandwich?” he asked the shop owner. “I would like to pay for it.” “Are you sure, really, I really appreciate this. Thank you very much.” I said emphatically. “My pleasure. It is all about the energy we share. If you send out positive energy, you will get it back.” I thought about the potential of my “positive energy” to resonate with others. I believe this positive energy is really the Christ in me, the hope of Glory. “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world” 1 John 4 v 4 A “quickening” of our spirits takes place when we revive our connection with our Creator. We gain a hope that combats anything negative that comes our way. We are not perfect individuals that exist in perfect situations in life, however, we align ourselves to a new standard of living, a relationship based on an agape Love from our Creator, a Love that passes all understanding. “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 English Standard Version (ESV). 38

Thank you Ken. I pray that we realize the importance of how we engage with each other as products of God's creation.

It's true that we get what we give. Although sometimes it don't, I still believe to be polite in people that we meet along our journey in life. I also believe in the word of paying it forward. Whatever goodness or blessing that we receive in our life, we should pass it forward to other people so that they too will experience the goodness of life. Thank you for sharing your experience and maybe some people will learn from you.

Really good points made. Our light or the spirit of Love within us is often challenged to shine. We are obligated to persevere for Love's sake and in God's power and guidance...not an "easy" task.
